I am loving these characters, and extra shouts go out to their creator Splice A lot of the inspiration for this page came from noticing the odd little cross-cultural similarities I found in my own studies–things like the common ground between Samurai warrior codes and European chivalry, or the way Cornish jacket wrestling has some of the same holds and throws as Judo.
